Raven Fandango!

The Raven rode Rushcreek Mac on all 3 days of the Owyhee Fandango Endurance Ride. He had a blast! Mac is a fun horse to ride. Eating with Mac at the vet checks was particularly satisfying.









And Mac got Best Conditioned horse over the 3 days! Probably because he had Good Raven Luck riding with him.

Owyhee Fandango

May 27-29 2011

The Raven got to ride all 3 days of the Owyhee Fandango! Day 1 was 50 miles on Finneas. Day 2 and 3 were 50 and 60 miles on Jose!


Coming to the finish on Day 2.


The Raven is ready to hit the trail on Day 3.


The Raven loves watching Ravens cavort in the sky!

Catching Up

May 29 2010

Since The Raven is 150 miles behind his owner, he decided to try to catch up. Today, on Day 3 of the Owyhee Fandango, he rode with Kara and her horse Jack. They rode 60 miles, and here The Raven and Kara trot out Jack for his final vet inspection,




and await the vet's final word.






Jack completed! The Raven completed 60 more miles! Now he's only 90 miles behind his owner!


Now, he might ride the 100-mile Tevis with Kara and Jack... which means if he finishes, he'd be 10 miles AHEAD of his owner...

an UNHEARD OF accomplishment for a Raven...

Today The Raven hit 4000 endurance miles! 4000 miles in the saddle (bags) on endurance horses over trails in Washington, Oregon, California, Nevada, Utah, Idaho.

Pretty sure he's the only Raven doing endurance, and he's certainly the only one with 4000 miles!

Today, Jose took him another 50 miles, at the Owyhee Fandango, to reach his goal.

Here's to another 4000!
