Queenstown

March 28 2007

The Raven and I had a lot of work to do on the internet, and seeing that Trevor was not hooked up, and there didn't seem to be any internet closer than Invercargill (maybe) or Queenstown, why not go to one of the most beautiful towns in New Zealand, where parts of Lord of the Rings was filmed!

Trevor dropped us off and left us there, and before we got busy working, we did a quick tour.

In the mountains right above Lake Wakatipu, Trevor and Picksy had been in some scenes for Lord of the Rings. It's a stunningly beautiful setting; there's a story told that underneath the lake, there's a sleeping giant, whose breathing causes a rather strange rising and falling of lake level.

The Raven found some duck friends by the lake

and, being a great fan of Lord of the Rings, the Raven posed with Aragorn and Gimli and Legolas. They are also great fans of the Raven's.
